GYUMRI TECHNOLOGY CENTER
The Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) has been established by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, the RA Government and the World Bank. The goals of the Center include development of technical and business skills, promotion of technological entrepreneurship, commercialization of innovative research undertakings, creation of new technology companies, attracting of foreign investment and others.
The mission of the Center is to turn Gyumri into a regional and international center of information and high technologies through creating an enabling environment of opportunities and services that would promote job creation, will support talented youth and provide incentives for innovative business ideas and companies ultimately contributing to the sustainable growth of the region.
Entrepreneurship Promotion
The Center provides support to the established and startup businesses in the region through the following services:
- High quality office space with all required services and utilities for to the established and startup ICT businesses. In addition, the Center offers a wide range of assistance, cooperation and consultancy services ensuring a safe, stable and interconnected business environment.
- Needs assessment and identification of opportunities for regional businesses and consultancy on business, management and marketing, technologies and other areas.
- Involvement of leading international technological companies with GTC and promotion of their activities
- Business idea contests, including:
- Creation of enterprises based on wining ideas and idea based teams or individuals.
- Consultancy and mentoring services to established and startup businesses and winners.
Educational Programs
One of the important activities of the Center is capacity building and provision of diverse training programs including workshops and courses in the following directions:
- Cooperation with local and international training institutions to implement exchange programs, organizing ICT and other technological forums;
- Organizing courses targeting the development of skills and knowledge among regional youth in the following areas-IT, clean technologies, engineering, telecommunication, mobile technologies, multimedia and others;
- Courses tailored to the needs and development priorities of the regional businesses.
