On September 13 Gyumri Technological Center (GTC) officially opened. The ceremony was attended by Serzh Sargsyan, RA President, Karen Jshmarityan, RA Minister of Economy, Bagrat Yengibaryan, director of Enterprise Incubator Foundation and Samvel Balasanyan, Gyumri mayor.

In the new academic year the GTC has initiated a partnership with Higher Education Institutions. Starting with September 8 the Techno Park’s Engineering Lab will host classes in mechanics, electronics and telecommunication for the students of ASEU and its Gyumri and Vanadzor branches as well as the Shirak Regional State College.

In September the computer and mobile games industry will be supplemented with "Fashion Girl 2" game, which is designed by the Armenian NaKo Games start-up company. In the game “Fashion Girl 2” player is taking the role of top model. The player has advanced abilities to go to the beauty salon, to do makeup, change clothes, go shopping, etc.

The Republic of Armenia has received a loan from the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan for the payments under the contracts of this loan for consultant services. Forty three high school students from Gyumri are currently enrolled in a Summer School organized by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation within the framework of Gyumri Technological Center. Summer School curriculum includes courses in English, foundations of network and software programming. The Summer School started in June and will run throughout the end of August.
