EIF Reopens Impact Acceleration Program for a Second Round of Applications in Partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Social Fund and RECONOMY

 

Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) announces a second round of applications to its Impact Acceleration Program, designed to identify, accelerate, and invest in early-stage tech startups creating measurable social and environmental impact.  The program is implemented in partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia (CQAA) Social Fund, with the support of the RECONOMY program funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.

Engineering City High-Tech Accelerator Staircase

 

The Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) announces a call for mural concepts for the staircase walls of the High-Tech Accelerator at Engineering City. The purpose of this call is to create a contemporary, unique, and inspiring work of art that will enrich the Engineering City environment and become an important part of the identity of the high-tech community by bringing together art, technology, and creativity within a single space.

“MicroForester”
of Alexander Shakaryan, a distributed reforestation project, was announced the winner in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia region. You can watch the video of the project here.

Enterprise Incubator Foundation offers sincere congratulations to Alexander Shakaryan. EIF, as coordinator of Regional Mobile Application Laboratory for ECA, will provide coaching and mentorship to the winner to further develop his “MicroForester” project into a functional application. 

Alexander Shakaryan will now compete with winners of other regions of the world and pitch his idea to the grand jury for the chance to win the grand prize of $20,000.

 
m2Work is a worldwide challenge and a joint project of infoDev and Nokia’s Ideas Project aimed at enhancing development of mobile microwork to tackle job creation and offer solutions for social, educational and environmental issues in developing countries. 

The jury will announce the grand prize winner on May 17, 2012.
