SCIENCE INCUBATION PROGRAM 2024 /Clobal call/

 

We're excited to launch the global call for the Science Incubation Program 2024, implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) with support of the PMI Science R&D Center Armenia. The program aims to support research groups, companies, and institutions worldwide in developing disruptive ideas and highly applied research. It fosters collaborations between industry and academia, facilitating the commercialization of science and research output valorization.

Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) is looking for talented in-house artists for its Black Box Hub initiative implemented by Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) and powered by Artbox, Funded by the European Union in Armenia in the framework of the Katapult Creative Accelerator Program. PhD Support Program 2021

 

PhD students from universities and research institutes are invited to submit proposals for the PhD Support Program 2021․ The program is implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation with support of PMI Science and aims to encourage young scientists by providing funding and assistance for their research and scientific projects. Since 2018, 30 PhD students from 11 research institutions and universities have already been able to benefit from the program and demonstrate immense progress in the research.

 

Disciplines

PhD students can apply to the PhD Support Program if their research and scientific project is related to the following areas։

  • Materials science, sustainable materials, materials with magnetic properties
  • Alternative non-electronic energy sources
  • Heating and heat transfer technologies
  • Neuroscience, sensorial experience, sensing technologies
  • Aerosol science and technology
  • Botany, toxicology
  • Applied and experimental physics
  • Engineering, industrial and systems engineering, electronic engineering, prototyping
  • Mathematics, mathematical modeling, data science
  • Analytical chemistry

 

Eligibility

The applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Admitted or studying PhD student at one of the research institutions or universities in Armenia.
  • Propose a research project, which is in line with the scope of this Program.

The shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview to present their proposals. Unfortunately, because of the big number of applications, no feedback related to the quality of the proposal will be given to the candidates, which are not selected for the program.

 

Benefits

In the frame of the program up to 10 selected PhD students will receive funding equal to around 370,000 AMD monthly (including all taxes and other mandatory payments). The funding will continue for the maximum of 12 months based on progress reviews with lump-sum payments.

Additionally, they will get an opportunity to participate in the exclusive community activities, as well as closely work with mentors and experts in the field.

 

How to apply?

Interested candidates should fill in the Online Application Form and attach the following documents:

  1. CVs of PhD student and his/her supervisor
  2. Support letter from the supervisor
  3. Research project proposal according to the structure outlined in Annex 1.

All documents in the application package should be submitted in English.

 

The deadline for submitting the applications is October 31, 2021, 23:59 (Yerevan time).
