E-Society and Innovation for Competitiveness Project

The Foreign Financing Projects Management Centre (FFPMC) State Institution at the RA Ministry of Finance announces competition for selection of individual consultant who will perform functions of Training Coordinator at Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) within the World Bank’s E-Society and Innovation for Competitiveness (EIC) Project according to the respective terms of reference.

 

The main objective of this assignment is to ensure the effective delivery of trainings at GTC to support technical and business capacity building within the frames of Gyumri Technology Center project.

 

The Consultant will perform the following tasks:

  • Coordinate activities of GTC Training Laboratories in engineering, web-technologies, hardware design, mobile solutions, 3D modeling, clean technologies and other directions;
  • Design annual training programs for GTC and ensure smooth implementation of those programs including hiring relevant trainers and mentors;
  • Plan and coordinate trainings under GTC programs in close partnership with major universities in Yerevan and Gyumri;
  • Develop, implement and monitor GTC’s annual training/capacity development plan in close consultation with GTC staff and stakeholders;
  • Recruit long-term and short-term trainers for GTC technical and business trainings;
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by GTC Manager and EIF director.
  • Recruit training participants;
  • Disseminate information on GTC capacity building/trainings among GTC partners, including universities, IT companies, start-ups, and other potential stakeholders;
  • Monitor trainers’ performance;
  • Prepare training evaluation methodology and conduct evaluations;
  • Design and implement internship programs tailored to technology companies operating in Gyumri;

 

The services are expected to be provided from May 2014 within one year and with possible extension.

 

The Consultant should have the following required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in the relevant field;
  • At least 3 years of experience in training coordination or project management;
  • Understanding of ICT, High-tech sectors in Armenia;
  • Demonstrable track record of project and team management;
  • Excellent communications skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian, Russian and English languages;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
