GTC has become a favorite meeting place for pupils

2015 Gyumri Technological Center (GTC) organized Kodu programming courses for 141 7th grade students from 4 Gyumri schools. The courses lasted approximately 1 month, during which students learnt the basics of programming, game development and animation, algorithmic thinking as well as gained team working skills. During the course students were divided into teams and were assigned to develop games on their favorite topics. As a result on June 18th, GTC hosted a screening of the best games developed by the students.

The trainings are expected to have  continuous nature, the goal of which is to train the teachers who will carry on the courses to the schools and teach other students Kodu visual programming tools.
To ensure the involvement of new schools and continuation of the project a meeting-discussion with a number of schools was held on the same dayin Gyumri.

GTC has been founded by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, the Government of RA and the World Bank. Some of the most important activities carried out by Gyumri Technological Center are the educational programs for professional capacity building, trainings aimed to develop IT skills and provide knowledge to region’s youth, as well as trainings on clean technologies, engineering, telecommunications, multimedia, etc.
