EIF Reopens Impact Acceleration Program for a Second Round of Applications in Partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Social Fund and RECONOMY

 

Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) announces a second round of applications to its Impact Acceleration Program, designed to identify, accelerate, and invest in early-stage tech startups creating measurable social and environmental impact.  The program is implemented in partnership with C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia (CQAA) Social Fund, with the support of the RECONOMY program funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.
EIF Participates in the 4th Global Forum on Innovation & Technology Entrepreneurship

On May 30 – June 3, 2011 EIF has participated in 4th Global Forum on Innovation & Technology Entrepreneurship, held in Helsinki, Finland. 


The event was carried out within the framework of a joint program of infoDev with the Government of Finland and Nokia on “Creating Sustainable Businesses for the Knowledge Economy”. This €12.9 million program, running from 2010-2012, focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of emerging market SMEs in the information and communication technologies (ICT) and agribusiness sectors in particular. The program will also employ the use of the mobile communications platform to grow content, services and applications for developing countries.


EIF was actively involved in the key Global Forum program highlights including:

  • Deep dive discussions around one of the core themes - mobile applications
  • Customized sessions for managers of business incubators and mobile applications labs 
  • An SME Fair featuring the infoDev Top 50 innovative companies from developing countries, with the award of a technology prizes in the form of SME financing
  • Matchmaking for businesses, investors, entrepreneurs
  • A policy-maker roundtable, and high-level panel discussions on industry competitiveness, Innovation through incubation, technology financing and other hot topics.

Within SME Fair featuring the infoDev Top 50 innovative companies from developing countries, Armenia was presented by AltaCode company, which was included in Top 50 SMEs list through competitive selection out of 750 applications worldwide.
